Definition of CBDV (Cannabidivarin)

Cannabidivarin was discovered in 1969. It is a substance that dissolves poorly in water, one of the phytocannabinoids found in the Cannabis Indica plants, which are native to Africa and Asia. CBDV is an organic compound with a structure similar to CBD, and like cannabidiol, it has no psychoactive properties.

During the synthesis of CBDV, it is still unclear what precisely this compound turns into. Cannabigerol (CBG) is believed to be the parent cannabinoid from which all other cannabinoids are made.
